Firstly, Search Engine Optimisation or SEO as it’s more commonly known as is a long term marketing strategy. Any SEO company or SEO specialist that promises results in a short period of time should be avoided. SEO is a long term marketing strategy, and the timeframes to achieve results differs based on many external factors.
To carry out SEO entirely you need to have some degree of technical ability and understanding. SEO has become more specialised in recent years. Google is now looking at performance, accessibility, best practises as well as SEO. As part of my SEO service, I include technical SEO which covers the three additional factors. Which in simple terms means your websites will be optimised for search engines to crawl and index your site more effectively. SEO is a combination of services and these include; keyword research, On-Page SEO, Off-Page SEO & Content.
Search Engine Optimisation
SEO always starts with defining a strategy this includes the objectives and goals. The only way to do this is through working closely with you at the start and understanding your business the products or services that you offer. Keyword research identifies the keywords that people use to find products and services that you provide. It also defines the ones that drive the most traffic.
The On-page process is about making sure your website reflects these findings. In essence, you are implementing keywords on your site in relevant places which in turns tells the search engines what your website is about.
Off-page is all about creating authority and trust and this is achieved by building citations and links to your website. Link building as a word in terms of SEO seems a little dated but in theory, nothing has changed. It’s the process of obtaining links which have changed. It’s all about being creative and thinking outside the box.
Search engines love a website that has fresh and unique content. This should be considered an integral part of ongoing SEO.
